taco cheese balls

by Dawn
(California)

my favorite cheese ball recipe is Taco cheese balls they are very easy to make and take very little time. They are great for Mexican themed parties or as a slightly spicy appetizer . My friends have substituted mild peppers for the jalapenos or you can add hobinero peppers if you would like it to be more on the hot side. Or any combination of the above . I have noticed that if you mix 1/8 cup mild papers with a 1/8th cup jalapenos that it still has the tang but is not to spicy for the average person. The recipe is as follows 3/4 cup dried parsley,4 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend,1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese,softened,1/4 cup mayonnaise,1 (1.25 ounce)package hot taco Seasoning mix,1/4 cup pickled jalapeno peppers, chopped Step 1 Sprinkle parsley in a shallow baking dish. Set aside. step 2 Mix Mexican cheese blend, cream cheese, mayonnaise, taco seasoning, and jalapeno peppers in a large bowl until well blended. Divide the mixture into 3 portions, and roll each portion into a ball. Roll each ball in the parsley until completely covered. Wrap individually with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
