Seghesio Zinfandel

My favorite wine, or at least my favorite red wine, would have to be Seghesio Zinfandel, which is produced at Seghesio Vineyards in beautiful Sonoma, California. Seghesio is a rich, well-balanced Zinfandel with delicate notes of cherry and blackberry, and a clean finish with only a hint of acidity. It pairs well with pastas, steaks and bread. At one point when I was working in fine dining Seghesio hosted an event to which all of the staff at the restaurant I worked was invited. All the wine was free and that is when I learned that, well, wine is wonderful when enjoyed in a civilized manner with good food, but in excess it can be a real headache! To this day, that wine hangover is probably the worst I have ever had - and that includes my time in college! Nevertheless, I still enjoy wine - albeit in civilized quantities, with food and good company - and Seghesio Zinfandel is quite simply the best of the best, at least as far as red wine are concerned. I should mention too, for those who care about this sort of thing, that their labels are very stylish and tasteful, perfect for such an elegant, well-balanced wine.
